The Tango Barbie doll is Bob Mackie's tribute to the most passionate dance the world has ever known. Not only is she the first doll in this breaktaking series, she is also Bob Mackie's first porcelin Barbie doll ever. She is sculpted in a classic Tango dance pose - one hand reaching out for her mystyer partner, the other placed coyly on her hip - with her poseable head turned to one side. Her shimmering purple gown is accented with hand-sewn beading, and a fuchsia, lime green, and turquoise butterfly with glass beads adorns her fitted bodice. An elaborate, embroidered headpiece frames her lovely face and enhances her fiery red upswept hair. Hand-numbered in golden ink, this doll comes with a signed reproduction of Mackie's original fashion sketch.
